Richard William Blauw, 76, of Lakeland, FL, passed away on May 24, 2014 after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. Richard Blauw was born on November 20, 1937, to William and Theresa Blauw in Chicago, Illinois. He attended schools in the Chicago area and joined his father in the commercial refuse business after receiving his formal education. Richard owned and operated the third-generation family business until 1974. He moved to Berryville, Arkansas before relocating to Lakeland, Florida in 1985.

Richard accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior in early adulthood and had witnessed to thousands of people about the Lord since that time, urging them to be saved. Richard's Christian faith was his life's priority. Richard was active at Cleveland Heights Baptist Church and had volunteered in prison and other ministries.

Richard faithfully served our Lord through the Amazing Grace Mission, Inmate Encounter, Inc. and Lighthouse Ministries. More information about these organizations can be found by clicking on the links.
